ART COMPETITION, METROPOLITAN RAILWAY COLOGNE

40 international artists participate in the competition assigned by the company for public transport (KVB). 8 stations are to be designed by artists.

Our idea is to link each of these stations to a partner city in the world in a way that real live sounds from public areas in the partner cities are transmitted to the station in Cologne. On the platforms there will be sculptures which remind of the ancient roman steles. The sound emanates from a gap in the stele.
